We now offer subscriptions on our coffees with $5 flat-rate shipping across Canada (free shipping for orders $70 or more)! Just pick your coffee and select the frequency that you'd like to receive it. Frequency is anywhere from 1 week to 3 months. 

You have full control over your subscription. Log in to your account, click Manage Subscription and do your thing. You can swap, add or remove coffees, change your order date, change the frequency or even skip an order!

You're locked in for a minimum of 3 orders, but can opt out for any reason after that.

If FREE LOCAL DELIVERY does not show up as an option for you during the checkout process:

• Make sure your order is for $30 or more
• Use the Postal Code that auto-fills. We use Google to validate addresses. If your postal code doesn't match what Google has, it won't give the Free Local Delivery option
• You might be outside of our local delivery areas

Whole beans stay fresh the longest. We recommend consuming your whole bean coffee within one month of the roast date for the freshest taste. However, it's still good for up to 3 months from the roast date.

If you order your coffee ground, keep in mind that it doesn't stay fresh as long and should be consumed within 2-4 weeks from the roast date.

Of course! We can grind your coffee with our high-capacity coffee grinder. Just select the grind setting to match your brew method.

For the best taste, we highly recommend purchasing a burr grinder and grinding your coffee immediately before brewing. Burr grinders crush the beans for a more consistent grind size compared to lower-end blade grinders. Grind size and consistency is the most important part of brewing a great tasting cup of coffee.

The added bonus of having your own coffee grinder, is you can enjoy the same coffee using any number of brew methods! Preparing a pot for a large number of people? Use your drip machine! Do you want a single cup? Bust out your pour over kit! Or maybe you want a little extra mouthfeel? Use your French press! The options are limitless.

Or maybe you want to drink a medium roast, then later a dark roast. The general rule of thumb is the darker the roast, the more help it needs for extraction.

For best extraction, a light roast would be ground more coarse than a medium roast. A dark roast would be ground finer than a medium roast. See how important owning your own grinder is?

Store your coffee in a cool, dry place. Avoid light, heat and moisture--those are coffee killers. An airtight, opaque container is best. If you go through coffee quickly, keeping the beans in our packaging is totally fine.

We only recommend freezing your coffee if you are going to have it for a very long period of time.

If this is the case, use freezer bags to separate your beans into 1-2 week portions. This will limit the amount of beans that come in contact with the open air and form condensation that will spoil the beans.  After grabbing the coffee that you need, push the air out of your bag and put it back in the freezer as quickly as possible.

We use certified compostable PLA-lined kraft paper bags and paper labels for our packaging. PLA is derived from renewable resources like corn starch or sugar cane. 

If your city offers a green bin service, just remove the tin tie and toss the bag into your green bin. It's that easy! If your city doesn't have a composting facility, you can rest easy knowing that our packaging will break down much quicker in the landfill than typical packaging that uses oil-based plastics or foil.

For consistency, we recommend using a food scale to weigh your beans. 

Roast levels affect the weight of your beans. For example, dark roasts are roasted longer therefore more moisture evaporates making the beans lighter than say a light or medium roast. This means that 5 scoops of a light roast coffee will weigh more than a medium roast and even more than a dark roast.
